Rockauto parts
How reliable is the rockauto parts? I hear every time someone asked where to get parts for their maxima they said rockauto. Is it an alternative place instead of going to the Nissan dealer? I just got me a clean 98 maxima with 72000 miles and i need a auto transmission mount. I was tempted to ho to the dealer since i don't want to get a part that's not going to last as long as the oem part from dealer so i need help and advice.

Rock Auto can be exceedingly cost effective and can be a source for alternatively branded OE parts.
You will most definitely over pay, and most of the time significantly, buying parts from any dealer parts counter.

Why Pay More
I have bought many parts from Rock Auto and Amazon for my 2003 I35 without any major issues. I would only go to the dealer if the part is not available in either one of these online stores.
Another thing to consider is how difficult is the part to replace if it fails again vs how much $ you are saving buying online. If the part is difficult to replace and the price online vs OEM is not that much, then it makes sense to go OEM. If the part takes 2 minutes to replace with a screw driver and the online part is significantly less than OEM, then don’t buy OEM.
