2016 maxima sr rear vibration on the left rear. I have had the car aligned, checked for a bad wheel, checked for a bad wheel bearing. the vibration is eating up every other cog on my tire. the only thing I can think left to do is change the shock on the rear has anyone else had this problem? Sounds to me like a bearing. I know you said you checked for that. I can't see it being anything else, though. Eating up your tire indicates the wheel is not moving freely. So, that is either caused by the (1) bearing or (2) the brake pads & rotors coming in contact when the brakes are not engaged.

If I were you, I would take the caliper and rotor off and spin the hub by hand. Then you will feel if there is any resistance in the bearing. You are not going to notice minimal resistance by just spinning the wheel, for it is too heavy. Even a slight bit of resistance is going to cook your tires.
