CAI lead to throttle-body leaks?
Anyone developing throttle body leaks around the seals that join it to the manifold? Reason I ask is because the stock intake has a kind of "accordion" section on the tube between the throttle body and the rest of the intake. What this does is take the stress of the throttle body when the engine "torques" around - like when you feel wheel hop. With the CAI there is no section to provide much slack - in other words the CAI is almost a solid connection between the throttle body (which moves with the engine) and the chassis which doesn't move. So there's physical stress on the throttle body because the rubber couplings used on the CAI are very rigid. I remember a couple of posts where someone was complaining they thought they had developed some leaks......

Well, between the CAI's pipe and the TB are 2 rubber inter-connecting hoses. They have some give, as i've observed when I cleaned my TB. It's probably not as loose as the accordian style contraption of the stock intake, but it seems to be fine. I've had my CAI for ~50K miles with no problems.
