What was the last year that manual transmission was available on a Maxima?

The last of the manual transmission was 2006 6th gen which offered 6spd before 2007 Nissan went all in on that atrocious CVT which still on there current profolios of cars for 2022

and that CVT was the magical Death for Nissan!!!! Not sure how has Nissan done or have they changed anything!!! Those CVT transmission are very expensive. If you dont have a commercial account with your dealer prepare to pay a good premium plus tax!!! for a small 4 cylinder was like $1800 last year. My brother paid close to $3000 for a murano trans Billins Montana not long ago

It's all in how you look at it. The junk CVT transmissions have created an abundance of late model, low mileage VQ35DE engines available to swap into older Maximas. Good job Nissan. Now if they would stop prohibiting repairs on USA purchased Nissans at Mexican dealerships, we would be all set! USD 35 per hour shop labor is better than USD 150 per hour shop labor.
