On a scale of 1 - 10 how hard or easy are your rims to clean stock or aftermarket?

1 = real easy to clean
5 = ok not to hard/not to easy
10 = real hard a real pain to clean takes a long time

my 17" Konig Verdicts I give them a 3 they are fairly easy to clean no matter how much brake dust is on on them...

I've got the stock 95 SE 15" rims, and they are a pain in the as* to clean. I'd probably give them a 7.

heh,heh ditto. But you dont have twin 6-spoke wheels with a space in between just big enough to get your hand through. Plus all of those little nooks and crannies...bah! Maybe in two years I'll have some little tiny 15 inch drag wheels and my pimpin' 19 inchers for the street. Anyone have any pics of 20 inch Neeper Dagg wheels?

1 ... maybe 2 if it's been too long since the last wash. I use the Meguiar's spray on/wash off stuff and it works great as long as there's not too much caked-on brake dust. But the 2K+ SE wheels are easy to get in and around when I do need to scrub them.

10. It literally takes as long to scrub my wheels (the face, as well as between the spokes and behind the spokes) as it does to wash the body of the car.

I keep my rims really dirty because 1) I dont care about my car and 2) I'm too lazy to do it. I think the last time I washed my car was in july.

The stock 16" rims, I'd give em a 2. But as far as keeping the center caps from having all the color fade away, I'd give it an 11. Sometimes it's best not to clean the rims because the center caps look stupid since they don't match the rims. It's less noticable when the car is dirty.

about a three
5zigen gt8s, not very hard but still time consuming. i can stick my hand all the way through which is a good thing. makes the rims look new when you get all that brake dust off of them.

How many of you wax your wheels? I'm thinking of doing that when I get my new rims. I heard after you wax it, it's much easier to get the brake dusts off, just hose it down with the garden hose. Problem is I haven't found any wax that is made specifically for wheels.

2, the open design of the SSR's make them a breeze to clean.

Like an 8...
It's got tons of the little triangles all over my rims that you have to get on all sides it takes forever... Can't fit your whole hand in either so my fingers are killing me by the time I am done.

I have stock 16s for the 2K, and they are about 4. Pretty easy, but you have to get your hand in there and scrub.

but only because the back ones are easy - little brake dust. I have the stock '91 wheels. The front can take a while, especially if its been a month or so since the last washing.

I give mine a 4 just because they have to be spotless for me, and in response to your lug holes, order a Zymol Wheels Care Kit for like 30 bucks, you will get a horse hair brush that fits over the lug holes perfectly, and it's a great cleaning kit, smells like toothpaste though
