I would personally like to try out the mounts on my car, cause the Quaife differential for me added alot of wheel hop during the 1-2 shift, and hopping when its raining outside (or in the burnout box). Not many members here have the Quaife installed, who's still running the stock suspension and motor mounts like I am. I was planning to get the energy suspension poly control arm bushing too, but I'm going to hold off now that these are in development.
hey eric, we've talked before about trannies and stuff, i think that wheel hop is more related to the struts you have than anything. if for instance you have eibachs with stock struts.. the strut shaft length is about 2 inches longer then the spring. this means that the spring isnt preloaded allowing it to let the wheels hop up and down. i just ordered a vlsd tranny and im trying to find out if ill need the i30 halfshafts. but i did have an idea. i work at a car auction place and i see lots of cars go through, i dont think it would be too difficult to mate the 95-2000 altima rear subframe and independant suspension to the maxi, the same rear suspension was on stanzas back in the day. this would reduce a great deal of unsprung weight and make the car much more responsive. let me know what you peeps think

Any new info on the availability/price. WSP subframe connectors, crossbraces and radial arms are my next mods.

WSP Subframes

Yes, we have plans. So far no has come forward with a 2002 Car. So all you 2002 owners, don't be shy. We think it's likely that there is not alot of difference between iot and the 2001 and the 202 Altima which we already have done. The alty guy was really happy, his car was stock. You can read his post here.

I'm not being shy. I'm trying to get my car still. It's a really long story and I should warn everyone not to do business with Standard Federal Bank as they are dreadfully incompentent. Let just say they wired over $25k of my money to the wrong bank and over a week later I'm still trying to get it to the right bank.

Independent rear suspension would be killer! I wouldn't drool over the new Altimas so much ...

combining WSP parts

Would these eliminate the usefulness of subframe connectors or would they complement each other with different qualities?

Seeing how old this thread is, and how there have been no answers to questions .... they can't be selling many subframe connectors in the meantime while people wait for these to come out.

I believe they're still in development and they have selected people to prototype them as well. As soon as they're ready I'm sure we'll know

what's the diff between this and a lower a-arm brace? this's also known as lower control arm brace.

Similar but not the same.

The a-arm braces you show below brace the mounting point for the lower a-arm. Keeps the a-arm mounting point from distorting under load. A-arm braces primarily improve handling (sharpens turn-in, etc). Radial arms mount outside the mounting point and actually tie the outside (toward-wheel) part of the lower a-arm to the chassis. This gives even more bracing, specifically under heavy acceleration...it keeps the front wheel from pushing back, which ends up reducing traction. Should helps handling as well.

Overall, the radial arm should be more effective for our application, since we need added traction under acceleration as well as handling improvements.

For real!! How can you "announce radial arms" in February and then still not have them out in July. New name for Warpspeed Performance is 10mph Performance.

Actually, I'm not all too upset...it would be nice to see these show up while we all still own 5th gen Maxima's

instead of whining because they arent out yet how bout we set something up like teams in different areas of the country, then we nominate one person to head each team, each team can be assigned certain tasks to accomplish according to areas that need to be researched, then we can spread the findings throughout the maxima community. i tried this a while back to try and build up a following to create an alternative to the stillen charger but it fell through. since then ive been concentrating on getting everything i can to the ground. due to wheel hop i recently sheared a driveshaft, the drivers side one, if you want pics ill show yas , its pretty wild anyways thats my proposal let me know what you people think

your right my friend im trying to liven up the community theres no progress being made no one is trying crazy things like stuffing a 2k2 motor in a 4th gen all the mounts are identical why isnt anyone doing it? heck for the amount of money that some of these people spend on wheels you can get a vq35 out of a 2001 pathfinder. i recently found one for 1800 bucks. once the motor is in your hands then get creative. if i wasnt building my Z then there would be a vq35 in my garage taking up a whole car bay getting internals and cams along with headers and all sorts of stuff. once the Z is done i might go find a 95-96 max with a salvaged title and a trashed interior (flood damaged or what have you) for a few grand and its getting some very interesting work. steve if you want to see a RWD 350 powered maxima id advise to keep in touch for a year or so -Pete
PS my aim name is Peej410 message me sometime

Motor: $2000-3000
Swap labor: $1000+?
You will need an entirely new engine harness, etc. Why not just supercharge for much less

$2000 for the motor!

Engine harness is not an issue if you just use the short block and heads from the 3.5L, you can then use the 4th gen electronics and sensors.

Would power loss of any kind be an issue by just using the head and block from the 3.5? I am just curious if you would still get the same 255HP?

car-part.com motors galore. u dont need a new engine harness its called modifying the existing one. if people started doing things themselves and learning instead of paying 1000+? for someone to do it for them then maybe we would have some pretty sweet maximas going around. be a real man be a pioneer. youve got some money ive read about your cars. do something no one has done before instead of being a follower, i mean cmon. oh yah and by the way, roll your eyes at me and ill punch u in the face
