Coolant Change interval

I think we have that 100,000 mile coolant in our cars, but i want to change mine sooner than that. I have 30k on the car, think now is too soon? I don't want to over do it, but i want to keep the car in tip top shape. Thanks

What could happen if you dont? Passageways getting clogged and causing some cyl.'s to run hot?

That's the extreme, but corrosion builds up in your system, making less efficient. Your waterpump also uses the coolant as a lubricant, and old nasty coolant with abrasive particles from all the corrosion going on isn't exactly a prescription for long pump life. I change mine every year.

Flush aleast every two years

Water pump replacement is expensive on the maxima. Why save $50 and ended up paying $2000 later down the road?

I got quoted for 175-250 for labor on water pump replacement? Sound normal?
