'Normal' Setting for TB cables..?

How can I check if the TB cable setting is where it's supposed to be?

just make shure that when the accelerator pedal is all the way down that the butterfly is all the way open. there souldnt be any freeplay in the pedal after the butterfly is at WOT or else you will stretch the cable and it might snap

to check the WOT cable length that do i just have someone floor my car when its turned off, or does it have to be on (which would be annoying as hell)

Man, do you guys have things backwards! The most important thing when adjusting the throttle cable is to make sure the butterfly full shuts when the gas pedal is not depressed. There is enough travel in the rest of it to always full open the trottle (so long as the adjustment isn't completly fould up).
Now, to adjust it so you don't kill anyone, with the throttle fully closed, the cable housing is adjusted so that there is a couple of mm side-to-side slack in the inner cable.
