Sounds Louder 4cyl or v6

Dumb question I know,

But a v6 with the same mods as a 4cylinder will sound louder, correct?

My friend has a 4cylinder accord and that thing sounds like he has a v8 under his hood. I never heard a hooked up Maxima sound that loud. How can I make my car really loud?
CAI,Exhaust?

CAI,Exhaust?

A 4cyl will sound like a lawn mower...high pitch and loud.
A 6cyl CAN sound like a small V8 with a nice rumble...Get a Y-Pipe and Greddy Cat-Back.
A V8 will sound amazing modded.
