I just got done installing 16" K1s and all I got to say is damn!!!!! They look good. These are some pretty wide 16s. The rim width is a 7.5. The wheels have a pretty strong offest that puts the tire straight flush with the fenders. The wheels have Kosei K1 in electron blue writing and the same color for the valve stems. The K1s are only 16s, but the spokes and rim are thin therefor making the wheels appear a little bigger than they really are. The Avid V4s are ultra quiet and have pretty good stick from what I can tell. I'll push the tires harder after the slick manufacturing material has worn off them.

For those of you wondering about weight, here it is. 16" K1s with 215/55 Yokohama Avid V4s weigh 37.5 lbs!!!! My stock 15s with balding RSAs weigh 40 lbs. My 17" Team Loco 142 with 235/45s weigh 47 lbs. I think the K1s accelerate just like the stock 15s because the weight is further out on the rim therefore negating the 2.5 lb difference in unpsrung weight.

Last night I painted my foglights with light yellow translucent paint. It looks pretty sweet if you really want "fog lights". The paint is $18 from http://www.autodynamic.com

I'll try to get pics up this weekend.

Man 37.5lbs thats pretty good. My stock 15" wheels with 195/60-15s are 35lbs. Maybe now you could put some drag radials on those old 15" rims .

Why did you get all seasons? It snows where you are? Anyways.. The V4s snow ability are very very limited. They will get ya moving forward in snow.. But my RS-As were actually better in the snow than the V4s.. They just make really mean looking tread marks in the snow.. So take it easy in the snow.

I'm not too worried. I wanted a more performance oriented all-season tire. If there's 6" of snow on the street, then I don't drive. I live in Kansas City and the we don't get more than 30-35 inches of snow a year. We'll get 4" here and 6" there. The snow crews usually have the snow off the street within 1-2 hours after it dumps. We don't get snow like they do in the Northeast. I got around fine last year with my stock RSAs nearly on the wear lines.

The Avid V4s should be just fine. Having a 5 speed makes all the difference in the world when driving in the snow.

Ya I knew that, but I wanted yellow tinted lenses. The painted lenses really do make a yellowish light. I like it. Check out my site for pics.

Light output is the same as before. Now it's just a yellowish light.
