Help needed: what is a blown strut like?

well ive heard what some of the symptoms are, and basically im not sure what my problem is, anyway i need to know what it sounds like, how it affects handling, any special way to check or anything you can tell me, i did the rebound test where you push the car above each wheel and they all seemed to work ok, other things that may come into play: the car is dropped 2 inches on sprints w/ kyb gr2s, fstb, rsb, dropped it about 4 months ago, also we have had some weird weather here, it was 80 yesterday and its in the 30s now, i was thinking a dramtic change in temperature could affect the pressure inside the cylinder (as chemistry applies), also the wind s about the strongest ive seen in a long time, it was pushing the car around quite a bit, other than that i havent hit and major bumps or anything lately, the handling just felt unconnected, im hoping it was the wind and im just imagining this, but if it isnt does anyone have an idea what i can do?

All I can say is wait until the wind stops and the weather is more constant. Other than that, I have no idea guy, sorry.

A bad strut will cause you to bottom out on every dip and pothole (but you are lowered so much it might feel bottomed out all the time). Basically you can tell a bad strut if it has leaked excessively, or if the wheel with the bad strut bounces up and down after a bump and does not recover to the neutral position. You might want to try the push the corner of the car down and watch it bounce up test. If you car bounces up and down more than once, you have blown shocks.

When the struts went on my maxima every bump or what not was a loud bang. If it sounds like thge frame is just smashing around could be the problem.

i mentioned that i had tried the bounceback test and they appeared fine, no leakage or anything, ill have to check in the morning and see if its still acting up, i went for another drive and the handling still didnt feel right, i felt like it was leaning a little towards the left, but once again that could be mental bc thats one thing i was looking for, but i measured clearance all around and it all matched up, ill have to just wait till tomorrow and give my report

From what I know it takes springs a week or so to settle, so 4 months should make you quite settled

My car isn't here, and I don't really drive during the week.
