Which motor mount have you broken?

I know some people here have blown motor mounts, me being one of them. Just wondering which one it was. My busted one was the lower rear one, right near the cat converter. Right now I am trying my own project by casting 80 shore A durometer polyurethane into a stock motor mount. The Place Racing mounts I had before just had too much vibration. I'm trying to see if theres a trend in which motor mounts have a tendency to bust.

Re: Which motor mount have you broken?

TILLEYS99 do you still have your PR mounts? It seems like most of the people who bought the mounts have since taken them off

How do you break motor mounts? Is it because of excessive wheel hop? Can the car still be driven with a broken mount?

What are the symptoms of a broken motor mount? I think one of mine might be bad because I get creaks in the engine when hitting the gas from a stop while in drive. Sometimes it also creaks at low RPM shifts from 1-2.

Wow, how convenient. I just looked at my motor mounts since my tranny is out. The one that connects to the transaxle from inside the engine bay has a major whole in it, pretty much across the whole bottom inside part of the mount. Is this signs that the mount is blown?

I have almost 56k. I almost took it in to the dealer. "Almost" meaning I pulled in and they told me it was gonna be $90 to look at it but that went towards the repair if they found something wrong yada yada yada. I have the extended warranty to 75k so I didn't think that was right, so I left. I need to call them because I think they were mistaken. Anyway, I will prolly get it looked at on March 30 b/c the only Saturdays my local dealer is open is the last of the month. Anyway, I will post if they fix it.
