One year and half ago I saw this lexus with those purple HIDs and a Ferrari and ever since I always wanted HID purple look. Well 97GLES it was a pleasure doing business with you and God Bless you for your kindness in helping us out but this kit left me like this when I put it on, My headlights are brighter then Ferraris and Audis, not to boost or over exaggerate people I took a wrong turn with a road full of potholes not too long ago I was able to see them from far away and was able to slow down and go around them. These HIDS are freaking very bright. These are the Hanabis Purple KIT. 97GLES even called my house to ensure the kit has been mailed out and told me to call him for help, Hes very polite and shipped within a timely manner. Will do business with you again, now Freddie hook up my boy Mike he wants a set now!!!

Those are some good pics, I also have purple. It appears a different color with my digitale camera, I had to aim my headlights lower. These are nice.

Did you guys used the 20 amp fuses that came with the kit? I am going to replace the stock 15 amp headlight fuse with the kit recommended 20 amp fuse, and hope to find the tap from radio shack for the headlight adapter.

Ok i saw pics im still not convinced, im going to try and have an intelligent convo, so if you do feel the need to respond please READ my post and if you must RE-READ it.

A. First thing, how are these in the Rain ?

B. Has anyone gotten pulled over as a result of having these, if you have what was the outcome.

C. Obviously i know they dont have a High Beam, Do fogs still work with the kit- i dont see why not.

C1. Is there an HID kit for the fog lights available?

D. Im not sure if there was a 4300 HID kit available, if there is, is there any advantage that the 6k lights have over the 4k lights. And i dont mean blue and purple lights, im talkin about like Vision and Clarity.

Thanks in advance.

I might have some answers....
a. These lights are sick in the rain. I drove last night in a hell storm that we had last night here in New York. I could see perfectly well with the purple kit.

b. I don't really think cops are going to mess with you, once they see your light they automatically think you are an audi or acura or something along those lines. I don't think any of us Hanabi owners have gotten pulled over yet.

c. Your fog lights still work, I don't have foglight with my GLE but I plan on getting a set and getting the piaa yellow bulbs to throw in there. "1HOTMAX" had a pic of the purple Hanabi kit with yellow fogs, it f****** blew me away!!!!!
c1. You can but they kit for H3 but it is not recommended since it would be alot harder to alighn your fogs......plus I personally think the light is tooooooo low. I was going to get the kit for fogs but have changed my mind and need to change my sig.

d. The 6k is brighter than the 4k kit. Clarity is pretty good with 6k considering our housings are made for the beam of light that a 6k kit puts out.

A. They are awsome in the rain. The Purple is better then blue on wet roads.
B. NO
C. Yes
C1. Yes
D. 4300K was the Panasonic & Osram kit. The light is white. There is no color in 4300K. 6000K has a nice blue tint. The Purple, some say are up around 9000K. The pure white 4300K HID lights will be just as strong vision wise as any of the other kits. The white light doesn't bounce off dark raods (wet) as much as blue or purple does. The purple doesn't bounce off as much as the blue does. The HID light shoots much further then Halogen which in turn lights up the area much further down the road. Street signs jump to life with HID lights. The blue kit makes signs glow super white, the purple makes them glow pink, which is pretty cool actually! Reflective lines painted on the roads jump out at you. Overall it's easier to drive with the HID system in at night.

most ppl that have the hanabi hid kits will tell you that they don't need hi-beams. i for one don't even use my foglights.

for those of you that want the hanabi hid kit please call me at the store 201-420-6792 after 11am. we just got 300 kits that came in. most of you guys already know that these kits don't last to long.

as for now i won't be doing a 3rd group deal because i won't have the time. my wife is due any day now. i will be in the store from 11am to 6pm if you need to get incontact with me. this would be the best way. just ask for Freddie.

good news is that i got a better price for the hanabi hid kit. the new price for the kit is $410 with shipping & insurance without a group deal.

if you need more info call me at the store or e-mail me at FS820@WEBTV.NET, please don't pm me. i won't have to much time to check my pm list.

as of now i have all the kits 9004, 9005, 9006, 9007, H1, H3, H4.

Re: purple hids

Mike thank you for posting these pics and letting me use your drive way since I dont have one to install this.

One more thing people I called lexus so if one of their bulbs goes out it costs $300 each. For $410 this kit is worth every dollar no lie. I paid $85 for the PIAA Platinum and the upgrade harness it totaled out over $125 and it does not come close to this Brightness.
So the question is are they worth it? Believe me they are, Cumalot was in total shock as well when he saw them, I am telling you guys these are brighter then the stock HIDS that come with one of the othere expensive vehicles. If you guys searched they were compared to a Acura HIDS and the Q45 HIDS, these are brighter!!!!! thats the reasone why I purchased them. Well your decision Cumalot wouldnt just jump out of the blue and post this.

if you already have the blue hanabi hids, you could if you want just to buy the purple bulbs. the pair of bulbs cost $200. that way you'll have both colors.

Nobody answered my questions. Did any of you used the 20amps fused that came with the Hanabi Kit? Our stock headlight fuse is 15amps, and the manual, although Freddie said to disregard, suggest doing so.

Well did you replace the fuse or not? Also which tap to use?

Nevermind, the fuse that came with the kit are not the right size for us.

I have really good news. I have another customer for Freddie. My friend who's parents own a restaurant saw my purple hanabis and loved it. He wants to get a blue one so I invited him to come to the Maxima meet next saturday to compare my purple and Deezo's blue Hanabis. He definitely will be getting one, He owns a 1998 Accord.

I might get a set for my lady's Accord. At least she'll be able to keep her high beams.

Do all of you that have the hanabi kit also have the newer style headlight housing? I have a 96 I30 with the frosted style lenses. I'm afraid that if I bought the kit it wouldn't look as good because of not have a clear housing. To get the full effect of the light would I need to buy 98+ headlights to see the full benefits?

Baller sorry for the late reply. most maxima don't need a higher fuse but some cars do. if you want you could put a bigger fuse in your car. i think i will up-grade my fuse in my car to 25amp.

as for the accord it should be a 9006 kit. just to make sure take a look at it.

Chances are youll get partial effect but keep in mind that these are way brighter then the stock HIDS that come on regular vehicles. Trust me they are very very bright it should go right thru that frosty lense your talking about. If not you can always upgrade them I assume.

Most of the people that have them are also in the city as well, im out in Deer country

Signs and the road markings also come to life with Piaa Superwhites.

Understand im not trying to come off like a jerk this time

I wish there was a way to compare these lights to BMW ellipsoids.

Booya!

Hmm did that test drive convince you all the way? , I told you they were 10 times brighter then stock HIDS on the other vehicles thats why I bought them, and the two comparisons with the acura and the Q45 were enough to convince me hey these are brighter and purple is very niceeeee, I seen hondas with the blue ones, I love the purple/white tint and it makes me different.

Where's the vertical cut off? This is what I've been talking about.

That's a whole lot of glare. And this pic looks like it was taken from someone standing up.

I took the pics and yeah, I did took the second pic you have there standing up. I tried taking one at the same level as the headlights, but it was too bright, you couldn't see a darn thing. Btw, the digicam isn't anywhere near the best, so the pics don't really do the HID justice.

Check this post out a while back. This is a side by side comparison with the Hanabi blue HID kit on a 96' Maxima with a 2001 Acura TL-S.

You cannot tell glare from that picture. The camera is overexposing the lights and that is all you can say... It would do likewise with Halogens...

Is like this Cumalot wont just out of the blue just say yes I will order some HIDS I told him I was but he didnt really pay no mind honestly these pics and others do show justice if your really picky. As for today I went to FEDEX to drop off a envelope close to the french quarter and I compared once again my lights to three cars two Acuras the big body TL and a CL and a Infiniti Truck, no comparison what so ever, from far they look somewhat yellowish white like my PIAA platnimun once they are next to you you have 10 times the amount of light they have. For the amount of money they are worth it, you will have people next to you look at your car in amazement , I even have cars attempting to catch up just to see what type of car am I driving. I dont blind anyone because the car is dropped pretty low and it sits as if I had sprint springs.

I had a guy in a Max staring really hard one night. I know he was thinking, "What the hell kind of car is that?" It was kind of funny. I'm probably the only one in MA with Hanabi's on a Max.
