Anyone ever chopped their Maxima?

Has anyone ever chopped the top on a Maxima? This is like the old hot rods where they lowered the roofline, making the windshield and rear glass smaller. I've just been imagining how the car would look if the roofline were right about where the top of the side windows are now ... a much sleeker profile. Any photoshop wizards that could do this?

Hot rods are on frames.

Maximas are on unibodies.

Think about that

What if they dont care if their unibodies get all messed up and their handling characteristics are jacked up in the rear end and their safety levels are below a crashing motorcycle?

Okay .... I've seen cars turned into convertibles, and I could see how that would affect the overall stiffness and integrity, but we're not talking about eliminating a functional structural part, just modifying it. This would involve removing 3-4 inches from the pillars and rewelding the roof. Remember the square, boring Volvo sedans of the 70's? They had a coupe with a lowered roofline, and it looked great! (pretty rare - I've seen two).

Man, that looks nice and lean! I think it cleans up the car's lines, makes the back end look more integrated. What you did is pretty much how the coupe version of the Volvo compared to the standard box shape.
