Also, the one 97MaxGurl has (don't know the name). Could someone help out on this and post pics. Thanks

We need some people who know what they want before anything gets rolling...so far there aren't even two people with the same car who want the same kit...we need ten.

So keep your shorts on.

We can get this done is everyone makes some suggestions. But it's good that we already have a donor car!

I'm giving you guys until tomorrow night, and if there's no progress I'll just pick a body kit and start a group buy, and whoever wants it wants it, and whoever doesn't well...tough titty.

A GTR-34 nissan skyline derived kit would probably be a good seller for the 5th gen's, 4th gens have one being made allready. I think a nice clean styled kit that is not to agressive would sell the best for the 5th gen's, nothing tacky or to crazy.

Looking forward to what you pick out. If you build it they will come

Just pick a style. Nobody is ever going to come to agreement about what style to get. It's either too conservative, or too "ricey". And if you're going to wait for 10 people to agree, I'd give it another 7-8 months or so. That's what I ended up doing, just creating a new style. It's like nothing on the market. Totally custom, not an adaptation of another kit/style. Hopefully these guys will buy it.

I'd have to agree with Emax, most of us 5th gen owners are probably more conservative in our tastes. I personally think that the 5th gen front esp the 2k2 is already very aggressive in design and only needs some very subtle accents to enhance the look. Stillen has no kit out for the 2k2 yet, if you were the first to provide one I think it would sell well.

Polyurethane is a major plus as well.

Darksands you live in irvine? There's at least 5 or 6 of us that I know of here, maybe we can have a mini-meet. If you want to organize one post in the west coast forum.

Maxximum Tuning is going to make kind of a R35 kit for the 5th gen as soon as their done with the 4th gen's R34. I'm sure they won't leave out the 2k2
I want Shadow's kit on my 3rg gen personally.

the biggest difficulty about making a nice looking r34 kit on a 5th gen is integrating the r34's 'boxy nose'(as i will call it) with the factory a33 bonnet (im feelin i bit UK-ish today ). everytime i've chopped an r34 kit on to a 5th gen, ive always had to modify hood at where it meets the 'boxy nose'. oh yea, ive got new pics to come soon.

That guy has some sick cars on his site...been there before!!! Those crazy Japanese and their minvans...some of them are so freaky!

I think I've picked out a kit for the 3rd gens already. The "Sinsei" style, which is basically a Skyline style.

It's the car on the right.....left is Budy Club. I know I'm stating the obvious so don't bother pointing that out.

THAT I LIKE!!!! That's agood kit for 4th or 5th gens cuz it's classy looking, yet aggressive. Let's face it, most of you 4th, 5th gen guys are not going through puberty anymore.....it's not like you're going to paint flames in orange on a pink car...you probably want a kit that's a little more rich and refined looking, yet aggressive. that kit fits the bill perfectly.

That's my #1 pick so far.

Hey Altima8,
IMPUL makes pretty good body kits for Nissan and Infiniti in Japan. If we could get some designs like that for the 5th generation, that would be tight. Here are some links to some body kits which I think are pretty aggressive and unique:

(check out the 2nd picture, the silver Q45's kit)

Dude, I think Boeing made a mistake. Why would they put a 747 wing on your Maxima? Oh jeez, call the FAA!

Some of those kits are absolutely sick. I don't know what's around to mold off of...but if you guys see anything like that (I'll look too) then let me know and I'll source and copy it. I can't ship in kits from Japan though....unless you guys want to absorb the shipping costs in your prices and pay like $1800 per kit.....yeah...that's what I thought.

Well, fitment is horrible on that kit but I'm sure that won't be a problem for us (*hint*hint*). I don't know about the little shark fins in the lower center bumper... kinda out of place. Besides that it looks good though. And don't forget a place for factory fogs!

yea fitment is off, but if ours is going to be "custom" it should be adaptable to fit correct? and for the fogs, theres that mesh grill area in the bottom corners where they could go, just make the holes bigger...and the shark fins, i believe give the kit a little bit more of a different/unique look, but since theres no frontal view cant be sure...id have to give my vote for that kit...im really liking all the curves, and the bottom is basically replica of stillen touring wing except the cuts on the sides...i like...

I tried putting the Sinsei front on the 3rd gen...but I only downloaded Photshop like a week ago, and don't really know how to change the color of something...can anybody fix this? I think the style really suits the car!

http://a8.cpimg.com/image/6C/7F/8971...-028001E0-.jpg

By the way I like that overboost.com white car shot as well..but I don't like those fins. I could shave them off if most of you would prefer that. Anybody know the name of that kit and what car it's on? Thanks.
