Don't know yet....but mine is solid still. The max has so many to count...lol. I am sure the Acura is a bit better than the Maxima in rattle department.

Dave and Sprint are still the only ones that consistantly say their cars don't rattle. Other 95 and 96 owners say this as well, although few 97 and up owners have a rattle-free Max.....

Never had any rattles in my 95 max or 98 I30 . My 2K2 is rattle free so far with 4600 miles.

maybe the rattles are caused by what people have in their cars? maybe panels are not on securely? i know i have pulled my car down.. front and rear seats, front and rear door panels, rear deck, trunk.. for stereo install, leatherseat installs, gauge pod installs, deck for center console install.. custom trunk for amps .. no spare tire.. clips in the trunk during tail lights.. i don't know.. maybe during my crazy madness i may have fixed a rattle that should have been there?

Mine is solely from the center dash. Had it since the car was bought but it got worse after stereo install

Yeah, the 99 was a rattle machine.......then I took all the door panels off when installing the chrome door handles and most of the styrofoam between the door panel and frame was just running around loose.............so I re-glued, taped, and secured, and now my only rattles are somewhere in the center of the dash and the back deck (although I suspect that's just the way Nissan did it with the wimpy metal of the back deck and seat brace for the rear seat), both of which are beyond my desire to fix since it is usually intermittent.....

My 99 doesn't rattle.

My 97 did a lot though...but I think that was because of the aftermarket suspension. The car didn't have any rattles that I recall before I put the sprints on.

I have a '99 and the only rattle I can complain of is the one behind the center dash. I think it gets worse when the temps change because of the expansion/contraction of the plastic. It's intermittent so it's hard for me to pinpoint exactly. After installing my B+G/AGX on full hard my change makes more noise, but the plastic didn't get any worse I haven't found any other new rattles yet either.

On that pic you got...the assembly labelled "air duct panel"...does that creak in your car? In mine...it's the #1 troublemaker. Did you do anything to fix it? I was thinking about packing double sided foam tabe around all the edges to keep it quiet.

For the 97 GXE, the **** smell entailed replacement of the door panels. They used foam that smelled all-to-be-damned.

If you push on it...right below the clock opening, does it displace inwards and creak? No? If not, perhaps mine is broken. I did pull it once during the install of my RF modulated CD changer.

Our 99 Max GLE doesn't rattle either. The only time it rattles is when there are tapes in the door pockets, otherwise the car is pretty quiet. I do notice windnoise from the A-pillars though, that's about it.

Most of the time, I find rattles are caused due to whats in the car instead of the car itself. Sometimes my parents may leave some metal object in the drawers or armrest console that causes rattles. It took me a while to find that one.

Sometimes they aren't too beneficial. I had the power brake check valve done and a power window motor done and they made matters worse. Rattles are integrity related.
