430 slipped by

I was on I35 (midwest interstate) and going about 75 when this Mercedes comes up weaving all around traffic and tries to pass me on the right. Didn't think much of it and didn't shift down out of 5th and he squeezed by. We then had several straight aways and we were even until about 120 or so when he pulled awat significantly. I caught up only b/c traffic slowed us down. But I was pulling 135 and he must have been over 140! I was in disbelief the whole day. Guess I'm just used to the 280.

A maxima is a dog after 120. And for a V8 like E430, life just started after 100.

Right..I've even had a C280 up to 135-->>
I had to slow down because I was so used to my max draggin' it *** to 130.. **** the C280 was at 135 in no time.

What kind of Benz was it?
Yeah, don't be surprised. First off. They have 5-speed automatics. A pretty efficient one at that. So you having a 5-speed isn't much of an advantage. Yeah, and the max is a dog after 120 anyways. I stomped on my friend's Lude VTEC after 100 with a E420.. He said.. "I couldn't do anything, I felt like I wasn't moving". Sound familiar? Hehe The 420s and 430s have the same HP rating. 275HP. It was over before it started. You run into a sport model and you may not even win in the twisties. Mercedes builds autobahn cruisers. Nissan built a fast grocery getter. Its not supposed to spend much of its life over 100. Maybe 80. But the benz. They expect it to lounge around the 100mph mark for a good period of time.
