They are 18 X 8 SSR Integrals with 245/40/18 Kumhos. Steering response and over all handaling are much improved. The rims weigh 19.5 lbs each, with the heavy tires (26 lb's) they weigh a total of 46 lb's. My stock 17's were 52 lb's each so these are a bit lighter.

What do you guy's think of them?

Looks good guy. I, in general, like 5-star rims on a max, looks good, while still giving it that sporty look.

Doh! An 18" tire only should weigh less than a 17", because there is 1" less sidewall. You know, like 2 donuts only one has a bigger hole in the middle. 235/45-17 has more rubber than a 235/40-18, but there is 1" more wheel. In this case there is more rubber because it's a 245/40 so the overall diameter is greater than stock. I didn't know 245's could fit ok because noone seems to recommend it--they all go 215/55-16, 235/45-17, 235/40-18, 235/35-19.

[strong talk]Low profile tires generaly weigh a bit more then a regular size tire(not low profile). Low pro tires weigh more becuase there strutcture is far more rigid/stiff and has lot's of heavy support pieces in them. [strong talk]

245's fit perfectly fine on a 5th gen, 255 would probably even work. 5th gen's have some sort of tire stopper on them that only allows the wheels to be turned a certain distance(much less then a 4th gen). Thats why 5th gen's turning radius is so large and big tires fit.

Bro, people on stangnet and altima.net were talking smack about maxima's, (2002's to be specific) so I told them about you, and your times, and how you would gladly race them and hand them their @sses if they wanted a peice of the Maxima!

I hope its cool wit you, I told them you are the type who won't back down.

btw, do you have a straight up frontal or rear shot? I'd like to see how the stance is with the wider tires.

The stock potenza's look so skinny.

If I knew how to post it'd put mine up too

I have the 17X8 Integrals on my 4th gen with the Wilwood kit. Looks pretty cool. I have a 32mm offset so they flare out just right.

Hey if some one wants to come down to my hood I will run them . A good friend of mine has a highly modified 95 5spd GT, we have some really close races! Last time out I beat him fair and square. BTW were you quoting G-Tech times or what?

These rims/tires fill up the wheel well perfectly. Is this pic what you are looking for?

damn you emax, grrrrrrr. you have to beat me to everything, that's it. i'm ordering uhhh, damn it there are no other mods worthwile. i'm gonna find a big brake kit that's it. i've had my rims for over a week and still they aren't mounted, i got laughed out of three places today. no one will touch them. i did weigh them on a postal scale though, 21lbs for rim 27 for tire. 48 from 52, not quite what i wanted but close enough, 16lbs total loss is still good, plus my tires are sick.

-steve

p.s. they look good

A 6 piston stillen Big brake kit is comming in this Thursday or Friday . Had to say, I'm just busting thugh I would consider a big brake kit but I don't know if any will fit with my stock 17's(winter setup)? Maybe Willowood(s?). No more mods for a little while probably, I am going to try to enjoy things how that are.

Ok Kevin.

your car is so clean. Everyday i see those ugly stock tailights on the 2k2s and just shudder, but yours are beautiful.

SSR's and Racing Hart don't seem to be a very popular wheel and i like it that way... keep up the great work, and dont stop modding. you are pioneering things and going different routes, please keep it up.
