can someone explain original vs key value?

I was just curious, how do you tell that the Genuine Nissan brake pads that you have are the original and not the POS "Key Value" or whatever they're called? The part number on my box does not match Courtesy's part#'s on their website. I'd like to make sure I didn't get jipped.

My part# is 41060-4L092 Pad Kit - Disc Bra
Made in USA, and says Genuine Parts on it thx

Let me just tell you from personal experience, KEY VALUE BRAKES SUCK!.

I've only heard bad things about the clutches too.

Key Value = Cheap and you get what you pay for. If you asked for original equipment and they sent Key Value stuff I'd send the stuff back.

To find out which is which you could call a local Nissan dealer and ask them if the part numbers are different and see which one's you have.

Sometimes too there are different part numbers for the same parts that were changed just a little and the old ones are still in circulation.
