it depends - if the car is used and you dont know who your buying from - pre-certified might be a good idea considering that they give u a warranty with em

Depends

Depends on how expensive of a car I'm buying. If it's some high end luxury vehicle where repairs are through the roof, I rather have a certified pre-owned car, I'm paying a crap load of money for the car anyways, +/- the extra 2-3 grand you will pay for the certified car is not too bad and may very well be worth it...

But say I'm buying a used Maxima, or something more practical, I would rather buy from a private seller or an auction or some private dealership, not Nissan, where they'd bend me over on the price and the service incase something breaks down. Checking it out yourself, or having your trusty mechanic do it is much better to me, plus the major, expensive parts in Maximas shouldn't die that early, so the warranty is basically useless. A lot of people said they shouldn't have paid extra for the warranty because there was never any use for it.

depends on the warranty that comes witht the certified programs.

if its a factory certified used car then they usually hav a better warranty plan with it. if it is just a dealer certification then beware!!!!
