Perhaps as a company car, or something along those lines. Like the business who owned let their workers use it to do company stuff. Or some guy used it as a tax write off, you can't be sure.

k well i found out its not rental car most likely, cuz there is a separate thing to show if it was rental car and that came back negative, so i guess it was a company car, still not sure though..

More likely >>

It was a company car as 98BlaximaSE has stated.

Rental agencies like Enterprise for the most part don't rent out GLEs, just GXEs without the Comfort and Convenience Package.

I'd be war of cars listed as fleet driven. Whether it be for rental or company use, the majority of these cars are not well taken care of in terms of break-in, warm ups and scheduled maintenance and check-ups.

It could have been a lease car also.

Leased cars are under the title of the dealership aren't they? My car was used off lease, and it wasn't listed as a fleet vehicle on carfax. Just listed as a regular owned car.

I checked Nissan's database for ownership and warranty repair info by calling 1-800-Nissan-1. The Customer service guys were very helpful and gave me a full run down on who the privous owner was and where it was maintained etc as well as any warranty repairs done on it.

Good Luck

Well leased cars can be used as a "Fleet" vehicle. I used to drive for a sedan service calle Boston Coach and all of our cars were leased which consisted of Volvo V70's, S70, and S80's. The only cars we ever purchased were the Merc S-Class.

Once, I did rent from Budget a 2000 Maxima SE. When I saw it was an SE, I was like WTF, I expected a GXE.

My 99 SE was listed as a "fleet vehicle" too. I was a bit leary of that but confused also because it was fully loaded (every option) and was in near mint condition, which would be a very strange "rental" car

So I waited a day to do some checking before I finally bought it. As it turned out, it was just some guy's car that his company leased for him. The car was in perfect shape, definitely garage-kept, drove perfectly, so I got it.

I've put 4000 or so miles on it since buying it and nothing has fallen off of it yet (crossing fingers ), and the VQ is in good shape too given its performance against a WRX this past weekend (muhahaha) so it seems to have been a solid purchasing decision. The only thing is that the clutch throwout bearing seems to act up once in awhile under certain scenarios, but I'll get that looked at under warranty in a couple of weeks when I have time.
