I just used the bar to break it, then I was able to do the rest with a swivel joint and extensions. I put it back on with the swivel and then torqued it a little with the bar again.

After resetting the ECU, the car was better than new.

Like I posted in the 4th gen forum, I don't know how you guys did it because I couldn't get the darn thing off. That swivel didn't help. Couldn't even turn.


How much you think the dealer going to charge to change it out for me?

Sudz we did not reset the ECU then but i did it yesterday night.Josh am game for Friday "after 10pm".Do you know of any good "safe" places to go from a dead stop?

BTW i redlined fourth gear Sunday morning and i saw an indicated 130mph+

This is easy. Convince one of your friend's to convince you to take the darn thing off then when it's off,albeit some cursing and scrapped knuckle's, convince yourself to get it back on.

no. that was back in the day before i even knew the ecu had a self check mode and before i was on the org.

yeah fellows lets get together friday night. ill get my camera. i know one spot. its right by where fred lives.

oh yeah D do you remember what you was redlining at before exhaust? i was watching all the meets and highway runs on video last night and i got a good shot of your car redlining in fourth but i cant remember where it was at.

I don't understand this question very well but since you have the tape,you will see that the tach is over 6500rpm while the Speedo is indicating 130mph all this in fourth gear.

I don't think the dealer will do it for you, they'll want to take the intake off. If there's no way you can break it free yourself an independent mechanic may be your best bet.
