my headlight died, its the connecter I think, can't fix it... help!

my drivers side headlight won't work anymore. I brought another phlilps bluevision to try it on didn't work, tried stock didn't work. I talked to a few guys & they said its the headlight plug, they said its fried because I have aftermarket bulbs in them. So I brought another one from nissan today, cut the old one out, put the new one back in wtih wires connector

this is the old plug I cutted out

my new plug with wires connector connected to the wires that runs to the car

& it still won't work... whats the problem? Nissan gave me some **** wires connecter when I brought the plug & I tried to put those crap connectors on for two hrs & it didn't work so I went out & brought those orange connectors myself....

do I need a new harness? whats that? (...ok I'll go searching now )

yeahh my bad, yeahhh check your wires and see if there connected right, but other than that, maybe your fuse might have blown out, so you might wanna check that out too, hope that helps

good question ....but i think it might be the drivers side, but check both fuses anyways. To check the fuse, just pop out the fuse and put it against a light or something and you'll know if its blown, it'll be black in the middle.

problem fixed!!!!!!!!!!!! I think it was the connector, but then the fuse blew up because I think what happened was when I was putting the new socket on those three wires touched each other & blew themself up.

makes sense? is there any spare fuse in the car?

update** now both llights work, but only low beam works for both light, when I turn highbeam on only one bulb works, whatgives?

you might have some spare fuses in the fuse box but don't know for sure, you should be able to get them pretty much anywhere.

about the low beam problem, well it might be that you switched up the 3 wires or it could be the bulb itself, hope you get it working
