What's wrong with my auto???

What's wrong with my auto???
I have 97 se Automatic. Here is the issue: When I am driving and come to a complete stop in Drive, then get ready to take off by taking my foot off the brake, the car just sits there like it's in neutral! All other auto's that I have driven automtically roll when the foot is off the brake. This problem has been getting progressively worse to a point where it now just sits there intill I give it gas.
My idle is fine (600 rpm) and not rough.
I have a JWT inatake and exhaust.
I've cleaned my throttle body.
Tightened my throttle body cable.
Any suggestions, ideas????

No man, it doesn't jerk...the tranny is smooth so far. But it just sits there and doesn't 'idle roll' what is typical of automatics..wtf??

Seriously though, it sounds like either your TC's messed up or your tranny's slipping

But I know when it's slipping though and it's not. The car pulls smoothly and shifts smoothly, no jerks or slipage.
The problem is, when the car is in D, and no pressure is applied to the brake OR accelerator, it just sits there and maybe it'll slowly move, but most of the time it doesn't.
However, I the minute I get on the gas, it picks up and goes, spins the tires if I needed.
It's just getting annoying in traffic. Even 5-speeds roll if you let off the clutch slowly and don't touch the brake or accelerator.

When you cleaned your TB, did you adjust your idle?? Maybe it went to low.

The Grand Prix wasn't offered with a manual, therefore I wouldn't be interested in buying one. If I get a car that I may want to drive enthusiastically, I don't want my left foot and right arm to miss out on any of the fun. Re-read my now-altered sig.

thats the same crap that happens with my civic, but i believe i dont have the "idle roll" because my car has NO hp and tq, i have never been in a v6 that didn't have idle roll, somethings wrong, but i dont think it can be that huge of a problem.

dwapenyi - I didn't mess with the idle, but I'll check to make sure I didn't by mistake
Badaxxima - thanks for keeping my thread at the top
slammed95 - I think you are on to something! I'll try to keep adjusting it to see what happens. btw, where is the idle screw?
sinewave - Thanks, I'll check that asap..
