Insurance for the max....questions...
Insurance for the max....questions...
OK here's the deal...last year i paid about 1500 a year for full coverage on my max. Just some history NJ has the second highest rates in the nation next to Hawaii. Anyway, the insurance commissioner approved a hike in NJ rates and a new point system. So we had to fill out this survey and blah blah blah. On the survey they asked about any claims made w/in the past 39 months. I had to say yes as i made one for about 3500 in 2/99.
So i get my policy in the mail and BOOM...jacked up to 2500 a year. I'm thoroughly like wtf? So i called and they said because i made a claim, i get hit with 5 "insurance points" that stay with me for the next three years. My new policy begins 4/15 and essentially after may the 39 month range they asked about will expire.
I am going to call them to see what the deal is with these points. I shouldn't have to worry about these points now as when the come off the accident would have happened 6 years ago.
Anyway i just want some insight as to who you guys used and what kind of rates you're getting especially those of you in NJ. Help me out....

Your state is non-stop on the stop insurance fraud commercials and billboards, so if that's what you gotta pay I'd just pay it. Don't stoop to their levels, they own Trenton. If they don't get their increase, they stop doing business in the state. So Trenton approves it. Don't expect them to stop bending over anytime soon.
