Welcome a New Owner...

I just purchased a 2K2 SE 6speed Super Black with Black Leater (all options minus nav system) last night and am a few short hours away from picking her up.

This will be my first foreign car. I have been a die hard GM guy forever.

Prev Cars:
67 GTO
69 442
76 442
94 Firebird Formula
95 Trans Am
98 WS6 Trans Am

After driving the Max SE I couldn't find another car that I enjoyed better for the money. I was really impressed with all the features and I hope my change from Sport/Muscle car to Sport Sedan goes as well as I expect it to!

Welcome!! I think you'll be impressed with the overall built quality, reliability and practicality of the Maxima. I used to be a Grand Prix GTP owner and I can't tell you how much more I enjoying owning this car than my GP. Again welcome to the .org!

Re: Welcome a New Owner...

1st time with a foreign car, huh?? Well, I don't think you'll go back to GM anytime soon after Well, unless it's a Vette! Welcome aboard! I think you wil soon find that the Maxima provides the best compromise between sports car and family sedan.

Enjoy your ride

Re: Welcome a New Owner...

nice choice for a switch..

its not as powerful as your WS6 .. but for a 4 door.. you will love it

personally i think you should have held out for the Holden Commwhatchamacallit

but the 6spd Max is nice also

Thanks for the welcomes everyone. I am looking forward to picking
up my SE tonight. After having 3 of pretty much the same vehicles in a row I was ready for a change. I really enjoyed the ride, power and the nice interior. I bet I will be very happy.

Notice that line, "I really enjoyed the ride" I guess Nissan was right with that slogan. Welcome to the .org, Don't let the mod bug bite you in the wallet.

My friend's parents gave me their '70 Lemans Sport for free. It was maroon, black vinyl top, 250 I6 with 2-spd auto. It leaked oil like crazy even though my buddy and I replaced the valve cover gasket. For a 23 year-old car that thing was unbelievably smooth at the time. It was amazing how many chicks loved that car. I'm not gonna say if I ever did anything I shouldn't but let's just say with the tilt wheel you didn't have to go in back.....
