Road feel in Steering wheel of 4th and 5th gen SE's
Those of you with stock suspension on 4th and 5th gen Se's do you feel every little bump/road imperfection in your steering wheel. I was wondering if mine where the only ones like that, my wife and her mother drove both of my cars and they were *****ing how you feel every little bump in the steering wheels of both cars, I thought it was normal, I have a 2002 SE and a 97SE. Thanks
Road Feel and Vibrations
Monte 01&97 Se,
I've been complaining about the same thing. My wife has her own new car, but she has driven mine and says she doesn't feel a thing.
I feel every slight road irregularity and the steering wheel vibrates ever so slightly, as if one of the front wheels is out-of-balance.
I've been toying with the air pressure settings . . . I've changed them almost every morning this week. 33F and 31R has given me the best balance between the vibrations and somewhat better handling.
It's going to the dealer in a couple of weeks for it's first service/with a Mobile 1 oil change. I'm going to mention transmission slow 1 - 2 and 3 - 4 shifts, window noise from the rear windows (both of these have TSBs, except the transmission one doesn't effect my transmission - according to the VINs).
I will have them check the struts and wheel balances up front. I'll get back to you if they find anything significant . . .

Thanks Older Kid let me know, I feel the same exact thing in my cars, I though it was normal on SE's. I have noticed it since day one on both cars but she really brought it to my attention. I did have them look at my struts on my 97 and they said that they were in good shape.
