98 I30 No Spark Help please . . . . .

I posted last week regarding my buddies I30 that would not start. Eventually we started it, it was flooded, we also took out the Bosch plugs and put the NGK's in. This morning its cold here in NJ, and again, the car will not start. Tried a few things, even measured the coolant temp sensor to make sure the ECU knows the car is cold. All tests OK. No CEL codes either. After killing the battery and dumping tons of fuel into it, we pulled the plugs and they were soaked with fuel. I put a plug into the coil pack, plugged in the coil pack to the ECU harness, grounded the plug agianst the engine block and much to our suprise we got no spark at all.

I think 98 I30's have an imobolizer system just like my 99 SE does. If so, the key is chipped. We tried the valet key as well but also got no spark. If the imobolizer system can't recognize the correct key, will it allow the car to crank but not start or cut the starter circuit out totally as well? I'm not quite sure how that system works.

Any ideas on what we could try next would be helpful.
