Creative use of food service products to fix vehicle

Lets see, my parent's nissan quest's air box was not sealing because it was warped. I was going to put my cone filter on, but it proved more difficult then it was, because of MAF adapter issues and clearance, etc. So, I decided to try a different route and to fix the warped air box. Only the lower 1/2 was warped. What I did was I got the idea from the clearing the rear tail lights by using the oven (although I used hair dryer). I heated the oven up to about 250 degrees, and used tin foil and stuffed the air box into the oven. I waited a few minutes, and when it came out it was nice and hot and soft. I used one of those large "Quick Grip" bar clamps and then stuffed the assembly into the freezer for tempering. I pulled it out and sure enough, it fits and seals! I just hope it holds its shape in the hot summer months when the engine comparetment gets hot as *****. Now my parents are happy, hopefully I can convince them to buy suspension for the Maxima.
