Blinking 3rd lights

Has anyone on here modified their 3rd (center) rear stop light so that it blinks? They make mods for motorcycles to do that - some blink regularly, some in patterns - to make them more visible. I saw a BMW 328 today that had this blinking pattern on the wing light when he hit the brakes. It definitely made the car more visible in traffic.

I SERIOUSLY doubt the makers had safety in mind when they dsesign those...99.9% for looks IMO. I think JCwhitney has a few "sequence" flashing LEDs, you might have to custom fit though in the brakelight housing.
