Where do I tap into power for my new heated seats?
Where do I tap into power for my new heated seats?
My car did not come with heated seats but I bought the elements when I bought my new leather seatcovers (see my other post in this forum).
The elements (one for each seat) came with the switches and power line but I'm not sure where to tap into the car for power.
Has anyone done this recently? I'm having a friend help me with it so I don't cook myself but we could use some pointers.

The correct way is to get it from the fuse block under the dash. There is probably a slot for the heated seats. Just plug in the fuse and get to the wires behind it. The easier way is to get the power directly from the battery and use the ignition switch as a signal to a relay.

I think the current draw is too much for the ignition switch. If the draw is anything like nitrous bottle heater....that thing draws 30amps.
