Hi there Newbie

Hey guys I'm a newbie here, but I have loved Nissans and the Maxima ever since my parents got the 3rd gen 1990 Maxima. I'm only 15, but looking into getting a 4th gen 5-Spd Maxima by the end of the year.

My parents both own Maximas. We just bought a 2002 Maxima SE (automatic, sadly). And the other Max is the 4th gen, a '95 SE auto as well.

Hopefully I'll add the 5th Max in the family sometime soon. My older bro use to own a '96 GLE. As you can tell were Maxima nuts .

Well that's a little about me and stuff. What's up guys?

You are lucky to have a family that understands the importance of owning affordable yet quality cars. Welcome and have fun!

5spd Max's are difficult to find, coz once someone buys them new, i guess they won't let go off it
i had a difficult time finding one last June. had to settle for a '98 automagic, but by some twist of fate, i managed to trade it in for a '99 5spd this Jan...just got lucky i guess

Ya I've been looking all over the net. I managed to find a black one located fairly close to me as well. But I figure by the time I get serious about buying a car that Max will be gone.

But I did notice in the Maxima For Sale/Wanted forum that there were good amount of 5-spds for sale. I even saw one for sale in there located in Fairfax, I was just there last week 2.

Oh well I need a job first, hopefully some little computer busniess will hire me in the summer.

Oh and thanks for all the greetings.

Or you can be like me and be filling up your truck at a gas station minding your own business and have a guy in a nice 96 5 speed with a for sale sign in the window roll up next to you

I totally agree. I waited months trying to find a SE 5 speed that had what I wanted but I waited it out and found one that ended up having more than what I wanted in my Max. I know though if I went for an Auto just to get done with the search I would not be loving it as much as I do right now.
