mystical, If you are really that offended by "peabrained idiots" "telling strangers to shut up" on the internet you need to get out some, dont just jump from forum to forum looking for people to make you feel good about your car. Anyway its better that you do leave because now you are going to have to be burned on the stake for being a heritic.

I respect all Gens of Max but it is no way a VE auto is quicker than a VQ auto 4th or 5th gen. I had a 94 SE auto and to no disrespect it was a dog off the line quick at 75 and higher and the best I could muster out of it was a 8.5 to 60 on its best day and several friends with them near the same couldnt break into the 7's. 4th and 5th gens feel and are quicker than a VE auto, 5spd to 5spd thats another story.

Overlay of Jane's 4th gen auto and my 5th gen auto
Mod for mod, a 4th gen auto will have more hp and torque than a 5th gen auto down low. After 5K (because of the variable intake manifold), the story changes.
Jane's car feels much quicker than my car when I go full throttle, and that's because of the aggressive cams the 4th gens have over the 5th gens.
5th gens need to rev up like Honda's VTEC to really start moving.
So, 4th gens have more low end grunt and 5th gens are better up top. Don't race a 4th gen from a stop... and don't race a 5th gen on the freeway.
