Allright heres my situation I am installing a Stage 3 Centerforce Clutch and a Stillen Alloy Flywheel next Tuesday,The clutch calls for a 450-500 miles breaken period but what I was wondering is since I just got my UPRD ECU and I am dieing to feel the gains from it.So heres the question would it be allright if I say start out in first gear and floor it to redline and just shift into 4th would this be a bad Idea for braking in the Clutch,I think it may not put any stress on the new clutch since it is all ready is engaged and by shifting in fourt at 40MPH would be the same as up shifting from third and same idea would apply for shifting from second going 60MPH into 5th.So the point of this idea is though it sounds like a bad idea it still be a smooth engagement from one gear to the next. If anybody can figure what I am talking {rambling} about and has any input I would appreciate it thanks.

You won't do any damage to your clutch if you just floor it in a gear. Just floor it and then let off. If you push in the clutch at high rpms then you're not following the recommended breakin. If this UPRD ecu is as good as Chebosto say, then you should easily be able to feel the power of the ecu with a few roll-on WOT runs in 2nd and 3rd. There is no need to shift to feel the power.

you must drive your car slow for 500 miles or so. stop and go traffic. not highway. so that your clutch plate can seat to your flywheel, if not it can get hotspots. after you have done this. then if your clutch slips you know that it is a piece. and you can send it back.

for at least 500 miles if i were you...
NO flooring whatsoever.
But thats up to you if you dont mind the clutch life suffering.
Since you dont have major mods it's probably not TOO bad...but still...why risk it? just follow the manufacturers instructions.
