Interesting thread. I was about to ask why get a Jap engine when one already has a Jap engine on-board

It's also interesting to note that the US spec Nissan's actually have the more powerful engine on the G35(Skyline) whereas in Japan they have 2 variants of a 2.5L V6 on it.

www.importbuilders.com

A good site if you want to spend alot of money on a high quality, high performance Honda motor. They have a CR-VTEC hybrid with boost that produces 400+HP. The owner claims that you can put this into a hatchback and it will run 10's.

The CA18DET is a turbo 4-banger like the SR20DET. It was used in some of the 180SX(RPS13) and Silvia(S13) models in Japan. It makes around 200hp stock, and can easily handle 300. Some are looking to swap CAs into their 240SXs because they tend to be cheaper than the very popular SRs.

couldnt you achieve more with the SR20 then you would with the CA18? I really dont see talk about the CA18 around, all I really see anywhere is the SR20.
