EUREKA, I have uncovered why there is a HP difference between Nissan VQ powered cars.
My lord...That is the nuttiest thing ever! How anyone could buy that ludacris load is beyond me, especially with the Fred Flinstone reference! "Man! I'll bet Fred's car had a TON of horse power! Forget the titanium floorboard! I'm taking my floor out altogether!" Good heavens...what a laugh!

He had all the bricks numbered, disassembled, and reassembled in Lake havasou, hoping it would attract people to move there.
It worked.
<little trivia for you, and absolutely true)

I read all this and got a good laugh out of the conversation. Thank you all. But I really do have a serious question. I have a 1999 Max, and it has this plastic stop on the floorboard under the gas pedal. Why is it there? Just to keep you from wearing a hole in the carpet? Back years ago BMW welded a bolt or something to their floorboard to limit the gas pedal travel, making it more acceptable to the US market, so it wouldn't go TOO fast. I know this was true, could the plastic stop on the MAX be for the same reason? Or could someone please let me know what it's true purpose is. Thank you.
