Nissan Performance Magazine - Project Maxima Needed

We are currently looking for a motivated, commited person
who is interested in becoming our Project Maxima.... Car must obviously be in the beggining stages of a build up.. a few installs already would be fine as long as you can go back and cover what has been done already.

For more details please contact me personally..

Check out the Project Cars pages at NPM to get an idea of what we are looking for..

thanks

Same questions above:

Basically
A) What is our commitment
B) What do we get
C) Where do we need to be located
D) Do we need to give up the cars for shows etc for periods of time etc?
E) Are the mods sponsored or fully paid etc...

If I were to submit my car to you for this sort of thing, I'd want to ensure that your mag was every bit as motivated and committed to the project as I would be. I've never heard of you guys before, and this is my favorite car.

I would not want some backyard mechanic doing the work-up either. A professional, experienced tuner in a state-of-the-art tuning facility would be good. And I'd like to watch to see how it's all done, if possible! This stuff is interesting...

A written, yet simple agreement would spell out the responsibilities of all parties. Financial responsibilities, possession time, and other parameters need to be made clear. For example, if we added a custom turbocharger, and one of my cylinders ran lean, and the piston welded itself to the cylinder wall, who would pay to repair, restore, or replace the engine? Who would decide which course of action is appropriate?

Sounds like a good idea. I can't wait to hear more about it. Or read about it. Good luck.

I myself have come up w/ some more questions. Do we have to pay for these mods or what? How long do I have to give up my Max? How much experience have you had? What happens to the mods afterwords, do I get to keep them and not hafta pay ? Sorry if I seem somewhat ignorant. If you need a stock Max, I'm here!!!(that is if I know what's gonna go down)

Okay I'll try to answer some of these questions..

1) You don't give up your car to anyone

2) You do the modifications to your own vehicle, if you live in SO CAL then some of the current guys can lend you a hand when needed. As well as Dyno facilities...

2) If you had plans to modifiy your car already then all you would need to do is take pictures and do a write ups

3) Once a couple of articles are published you will certainly get opportunities from our Sponsor companies and other to promote the Maxima products through your project... The key is getting established and showing you will be around to see the project through.

4) to lend crediablity to our small yet staff, many members are well known in the Nissan community. Such as Mike Kojima.

>B) What do we get

You get the opportunity to help you fellow Nissan lovers with information and the chance to have your car known nationally and get the attention of Sponsors..

>C) Where do we need to be located

doesn't matter..

>D) Do we need to give up the cars for shows etc for periods of time etc?

No.... but if you do shows you must use the sponsor logos obtained through the articles..

>E) Are the mods sponsored or fully paid etc...

If you work at getting known for good articles then the parts will begin rolling in...it's all up you and how motivated you are...

hopefully some of you guys checked out site out to get an idea of what we do...

Sounds good. Do you want us to periodically send e-mails in or would you prefer is to send a *chunk* of pictures in? I plan on starting to mod my car in the summer while all the cosmetic stuff I wanted has already been done.....

What is your definition of beginning stages of a buildup?
