new NOS system

I came across this kit the other day at http://www.holley.com/HiOctn/ProdLin...OS/NOSzle.html
They make a universal 6 cyl kit. Is it possible to run this on my max? The idea behind it seems good because it doesn't allow the nitrous to "puddle" which i understand the other kits do. Let me know what you all think? Thanks

I haven't heard or seen anyone use this type of setup, but it seems like a great type of setup to use. You will still need the same things for this one as the regular dry setup, i.e. possibly bigger fuel pump, FPR, etc if you go over the 65 shot since stock still would not be able to produce the necessary FP to sustain it. BTW, this setup is probably going to be very expensive and may or may not net any more HP than a dry sytem. I know it said up to 200 hp, but trust me our engines (stock) are strong but not that strong. I suspect it's still going to be limited to about 100 shot on stock components.

i heard that this install is probably harder than it appears for a maxima, something to do with clearance between the injectors or manifolds....

Re: new NOS system

This has been discussed a few times. In order to get to the rear bank injectors. The upper intake manifold has to come off. You might as well just do the old fashion direct port kit. No point paying 4X the price for the parts. Someone also mentioned the kit is not compatible with our injectors.

Oh...another thing. It takes me 15 mins to change my jets. With the NOSzle, you would have to take the intake manifold off to change the jets. That's about 4 hours of work and $10 worth of gaskets every time. This might be great for the Honda/Acura crowd, but not for us.

That is definantly a reason to stick to the old way.

Well I appreciate all the info guys. I was wondering about fittiment issues, that's why I brought this up, and I was thinking that there wouldn't be enough clearance for the injectors too. Now I just have to decide if I'm going to go wet or dry. Decisions decisions Thanks again guys.

Tony, what part numbers are correct for the direct port kit? I already have a standard 5124 kit, but I want to convert it to direct port before I use it along w/ the SC. Safer that way to me. Thanks.

Jeff,
It's called the sportsman fogger kit. Part number 05040-FI.

http://www.nosnitrous.com/HiOctn/Pro...OS/fogger.html

The smallest jets you can use will yield about 50hp to the wheels or 75HP to the crank.

Out of curiosity how often do people change the jets? Or how often do you change them?
