oh boy...

I'd tell you to save your money (period).

But if you ignore my advice and decide to buy POS Sarona, good luck.

Let us know how it goes.

BTW, use the search function on your top right corner of the page... you will find many testimonials from Sarona owners about how sh!tty their Maxima bodykit is.

Heh very true but I dont think he should have much off a problem with the side skirts and the rear bumper. It does have fitment issues but I doubt he will have cracking problems since most people never managed to scrape those parts.

I think what Kashoggio meant by 'cracking' is the paper-thin fiberglass that Sarona uses to make their bodykit (esp. sideskirt). If you live close enough to me, I'd invite you to 'feel' the thickness (or the lack there of) of their fiberglass for yourself. I had my shop 'add' additional fiberglass lining on the backside of one of the sideskirts so it won't break in half (again).

Another org member ordered the sideskirts from Sarona direct and after waiting over a month, he received the shipment, and in it the sideskirt was damaged.

Their Maxima bodykit is very poorly made, from material to craftmanship. Unfortunately, I'm not alone on this one.

Is the Sarona kit really that crappy/weak??? i like the design for the side skirts and rear, but i dont know since im hearing bad feedback about it..

How easily does it crack?? why does it crack??---i.e.-driving fast? hitting bumbs? rocks??, is there a warranty?

Sarona kit is really crap.. especially when they charge upwards of $1200-1300 for it. The sideskirts are the thinnest part of the kit
Don't forget to spend another $400-600 for the bodyshop to sand it down, paint it, modify it for fitment etc. I paid $1000 for the kit and didn't have to pay out more for the additional labor, but I doubt everyone who is thinking about buying the Sarona kit has the same fortune.

Warranty? You're kidding right?

The sideskirt cracked b/c I was trying to get the car onto my friend's 'porta-ramp' and the ramp skidded back behind the front wheel, cracked the sideskirt in half-- freak accident.

You will scrape the rear bumper, it's huge and hangs like 4" lower than stock. I scraped my rear bumper almost as much as I did my front bumper. My rear bumper has cracked twice. The first time was 7 days after the kit was installed, didn't scrape anything, it just cracked from the stress/vibration of the car since it was under so much tension. And I'm not even sure how it happened the second time. Lots of people have cracked the sideskirts. Every time you jack up your car, you're at risk. I'm so careful now when jacking up my car. Because every time you put the jack under there, it comes very close to the kit, and if you're not careful, you'll have what happened to Ange happen to you.

Absolutely no warranty. They'll call you a liar, at least that's what they did to me.

It costs Sarona about $300 to manufacture the kit. They just chopper gun fiberglass into the mold. They don't sand the edges, don't finish the edges, just pull it out and ship it. There usually is bondo on the kit from where they patched holes. And no Greg (Custommaxima) isn't ripping you guys off, let's just say Sarona makes about $600 profit every time you guys order, Greg makes very little. Sarona uses less fiberglass than just about any company I've ever seen. It's on the level of the $350 Honda body kits made in China, and even those fit better. Some Sarona kits will fit fine, but the quality control is spotty because they make kits faster than they should. Each mold should only have a certain number of pieces made per day, Sarona makes more than they should to save money. It's cheaper than making a second or third mold. So with less time put into each kit, the fiberglass hasn't cured properly, hence the warpage and bad fitment. Also, when you make kits as fast as they do, the molds will tend to warp from overuse. This happens on all molds naturally, but they just accelerate the process. That's why the initial run of kits, mine, Ange's, Piopremier's, Tilley's, all fit like ****. Then they fixed the molds and people said the kits fit fine, and now they fit like **** again because the molds went bad again.

I'm working on a similar kit to the Sarona, Piopremier's if you've seen it. Hopefully I can improve on the quality. I'm having the mold made by someone who's been doing it for 30 years, and the guy laying fiberglass for me used to make body kits for Razzi. And it's being made local to me, so I can check on the quality. Funny thing is, the way I got treated by Sarona, and then knowing how much money they actually made is what got me into the business.
