Intake Replacement

This is the best forum I'm glad to be part of the maxima org.I will really appreciate if someone can help me. I did replace regular air filter for the HI PERFORMANCE INTAKE, however the black box where the original air filter was had a sensor inside, once the box is removed and the intake is put in its place, there is no way to connected this sensor to the INTAKE. All these makes an amber light on in the dash board. Please help!!!!!!!! thanks again

Re: Intake Replacement

Which intake?

I think you're talking about the MAF sensor. You need that dude.

I think he is talking about the temp. sensor. Which intake did you get? If it is Place Racing, there is already a pre-made hole(s) just for the sensor and make sure you follow the instructions exactly to avoid loosing a piece and accidentaly sucking it up into the TB. If it is not a PR CAI, then you may have to drill a hole on the intake itself, before the MAF, and put it in yourself. I bet if you pull the codes off the ECU it will tell you that it is the temp sensor too.
