How do you hook up two fuel pump in-line (series)>>

Since a fuel pump have a suction and pressure side and if you place two pumps in-line with each other, wouldn't one of the pump place pressure on the suction side of the other? If pressure on the suction side of the second pump wouldn't it cause premature failure in that pump. Besides replacing a single pump system with a higher displacement/pressure unit are there any other way to increase the PSI in the fuel rail (see my other post dealing with an universal adustable fuel pressure regulator)

I think you have to "Y" them. Not plumb one through the other. The SC guys will know about this.
