Just wondering...today I got my gas for $1.32 (at BP, 93 octane), when the pump price was $1.51.9!

I just bought 50 more gallons at $1.30 for the same station!

Now if only I had a car on the road to put all that gas in.... (hehe, I'll still use it in whomever's car I get to borrow while mine's in the shop...most likely, and hopefully, Dad's Q45!)

Just wondering if anyone else is taking advantage of Priceline. Hey, saving $.20 a gallon....times 30 gallons, that adds up quick for me, cause I drive A LOT each week!

I use it too--->

I've found that the more gallons you buy the better the pricong. IN NYC, I was paying $1.95 for super (93 at the Amoco) I was paying $1.74.
Then I pre-paid for 30 gallons and got $1.65 per gallon. I don't mind saving .15 per gallon. It's worth the effort to me.

It's only good for a short time.

My gf used them for grocery like one year ago, in the beginning she got everything dirty cheap, then when you went back for more, the low price which was accepted would be rejected, the raise it slowly everytime you went back. You need to go thru trouble to sign up new accounts with different credit cardd, not worth the trouble.

For the gas, I locked it at $1.63(lowest choice they give, tried to input my own lower price, rejected) for 50 gallons while pump is $1.88. Now two weeks later when I used up the 50g and went back for more, they won't give me $1.63 anymore, not even $1.73. The good thing is that they have those partnership program, I bought a $20 gift certificate at Olive Garden restaurant, they allowed me the price of $1.59. If you sign up some long distance phone carrier, you can even get $1.23

bought 50 gallons a few weeks ago at $1.25.. the price was $1.46 at the pump then. it's now $1.56.
.31/gallon cheaper, I think I can live with that.

Ah, the Q-beast...

It's fine. It actually came out of the body shop late last week looking beautiful. Man, that's a pretty car! Especially now that the bumpers is fixed!!

It was fine...Dad saw it a few days afterwards when I drove it up to Kentucky and met them on vacation. Problem was, it looked worse than on Sunday when I did it. It seems as though sitting at school in the sun for a few days did no favors to the paint that had been chipped/cracked and it all started to peel off, so it looked really bad, but wasn't.

It's fixed. But now mine's down again...ugh, daggum transmission!

Check out carclub.com....

I used them (Priceline)... was sort of annoyed that I could only go to one gas station.

Check out http://www.carclub.com. They offer more "stuff" than Priceline (like deductible reimbursement, discounts for service, etc.), and give you a straight 10% off your gas anywhere MasterCard is accepted. It's a deposit access card, so you have to "deposit" money into the card first (using your credit card).

che...

You basically go and bid for your gas, they have a few prices you can bid for or you can name your own. And you choose a couple gas stations near your house. If your price is accepted it will tell you which gas station to go to and they send you a card that you use like a atm card at the pump w/ a pin code. Also, when you bid for the gas, if the price is accepted they charge your visa/mc on file right then...

Has anyone had any problems with the gas program?

I know I have had numerous problems with this gas program. . . At first I picked a gas sation that had just closed for some reason or another, but it is still listed under the site. They reimbursed me and everything, but now the station I have won't accept the card that they gave me. . . It is really frustrating right now and they are working to resolve the problem, but it has taken me like 3 tries now and it still doesn't work. . . Just wondering if anyone else has problems.
