Stupid question: how to remove rear license plate??

How do you remove the reare license plate? Those two bolts holding it turn and turn but they don't seem to come out?? Is there something else we have to remove first?

Thanks...

They're held in by speed clips and if those clips broke off the bumper cover they'll just spin. Jam them steady from behind/under the bumper and then you can take it off. If not accessible, cut/drill off the bolts.

Bolts are probably rusted.

That happened to me. I drilled through the bolts and then used a bolt cutter to cut through the bolt.

Pain in the a$$!

What are speed clips exactly?

Same thing happen to me, the speed clips are basically like a nut, except they slip on the plastic behind the liscense plate. You can get them at any auto parts stor for less than $2, or just do what I did and take them off the front plate bracket of your fathers car.
