My friend didnt go through insurance when he wrecked his car, so he bought all the parts himself. he is trying to install the airbags, but doesnt know where the black box goes(SRS airbag sensor diagnostic) by any chance do any of you know. He is doing it right now. This is a 96 Maxima.

Personally if i needed an airbag, it would be so important i would just get it professionally done. Id rather shell out $30 then die!

Try center console, under the e-brake/compartment area approximately between the seat belt buckles.

I'm assuming you're refering to the airbag control unit. Is it really black? I always thought it was a metal box with a warning label on it
