About a month ago I installed Eibachs and AGX. Love the setup, but the tires(toyo)feel like the weak point.
I checked my airpressure the other day to find them at 34lbs. I was like wholly **** that seems a little high. Lowered the rears to 32 and the fronts to 29, or visa versa, i forget. Now it feels a little sloppy and i don't feel confident on the road. What do you guys run? Btw 97 se 16".
Called up a few tire places and no one could beat Town Fair's price. They had to special order them, but they should be in Friday. 89 bucks + alignment + tax came to 460 for the 225/50/16. Free rotation too.
So will I have a big smile on my face when i drive on these fauckers?

What toyos do you have? I had FZ4s and Kumhos, you won't notice much of a difference. Just a slight edge to the Kumhos, assuming FZ4s are what you have now.

IMHO you'll notice no difference. I went +2 to 18 and what I notice is better laterally and that's about it. The dreaded .5 slower to 60 I don't notice at all. You can do several 17 +1 for a grand and maybe one +2 18 for 1100, those will give you much more pleasure. I don't prefer trying to mount a wider tire on a 6.5" rim.

Town Fair fixed my bro's tire for free and spin-balanced it. Not sure why and he isn't either, they sure are weird. Maybe they assumed he got it from them in the first place.

Stock toyo's (AO1?) suck. Just about any performance tire (including Kumho) will be a noticeable improvement. Just realize that the Kumho Ecsta712 is not all season: great only in dry and wet. I think I ditched the stock tires at 15k miles...

OE tires suck

235/45R17 Toyo FZ4s All Season, ran fine all winter long.

235/45R17 Toyo T1S "Weekend Race" Tires. Ran fine all summer long. Especially some Hot Nights @ Street Races.

-Now its just the track for me.
