Ok, I got two sets of codes when performing the diagnostics.
The first one is:

0403 Throttle Position Sensor

the second one is:

1206 Throttle position sensor (A/T)

now what does this mean, whats borken, and how do I fixit? I know some of you guys have the FSM for the 96( I sold one to Keven). Let me know whats wrong and how serious is this?

the tps is broken and might need replacing; usually if the rpms drop strangely when in cruise control, that is a sign the tps is shot.

try this page:

The TPS is used for all sorts of stuff, so get it replaced soon. If you have an auto tranny, the TPS is used for shift points. For the fuel/spark management, the TPS is used for timing & fuel supply, among other things. It's a cheap part, so it won't cost an arm and a leg.
