Getting new rims...how important is width??

Hey guys, Im getting new rims soon. I want a design similar to the Konig Tantrum. What would be the advantages of getting the 17x8 over the 17x7?? Does it handle THAT much better?? Or does it look THAT much better?? Also, I saw a deal where I could get these rims that look excatly like the Konig's called "Omni N-7's". Anyone ever heard of Omni?? Can it be trusted? I could also get a good deal on the "Enkei RS-6's" but they only come in 17x7. How important is an inch wider??

the extra inch really does make a difference in handling. it also looks much cooler. if at all possible get the 17x8 rims. it isnt imperative because if im guessing correctly, you have stock rims right now so jumping up to the 17x7 will still show somewhat of a difference. either way, i would recommend getting at least 17x7.5.

The wider the contact patch the better than handling, traction. Also a lower suspension with it makes for some good fun.
