tinting side mirror

tinting side mirror

has anyone tinted their side mirrors, i was thinking either a light smoke or blue (on a white car) would like interesting

Try a polarizing tint thing. That should help lessen the glare w/o actually hampering visibility through the side mirrors. I've been thinking of doing the same thing myself.

That has to be illegal. My uneducated advice is to check out the legalities of doing this before doing anything.

I kinda like the idea.

I get blinded at night, thats why I drive with my head in the center of the car, and lower than the rear view too. Dang SUV's

There were once those blue tinted mirrors that are disigned to kill headlight glare, a few guys here got them. Like the ones on newer model cars. If your talking function, not looks.

I doubt its illegal. You wouldnt tint them to the point of zero visability right

I sometimnes drive around with them folded in for fun.

illegal?? are you gonna tell me that you really think you are going to get in trouble for it??? hahaha.. that's funny

i am gonna have my rear view mirror and side mirrors tinted a blue-mirror polarized tint in the next week or so.. ill keep posted.. maybe purple-mirror, we'll see

of course its illegal

YES it is very illegal especially in NY and if a cop wants to give you a ticket for it he can. By tinting your rear view or any window for that matter you decrease your visibility of the road thus making your car a hazard. Its illegal and stupid, just get your regualr windows tinted and roll up your front mirrors so its blocking your rearviews.

my 3rd gen has those blue tinted mirrors stock, but i dont see
how the blue would decrease glare

where do you get this polarized tinting material? are you getting it installed or putting it on yourself? thanks. Oh, by the way, pimp ride...

im gonna get it done by a local tinting place, they are also tinting my windshield.. very light light light tint, enough to keep some sun off my seats
