I paid $20,000 including mods + buying the car... I've owned the car for less than two years making my cost of ownership $4000+ per year this is why I think maybe I should keep it - after all I love it...

If you hadn't invested so much in the car...or if you'd had the car for a lot longer I'd say go for it...

But in reality you are going to take an 8 grand hit for a car you drove for two years....I personally don't think it financially logical.

Plus you love your car

In the words of Buddy Holly

If I sell there will be trouble, and if I keep it will be double. So you gotta let me know, should I sell it or should I roll?

sorry, couldnt resist.

Miles don't really matter on a tunner car. I my self was offered 40k for my Maxima but i didn't take it. I love Maximas. I can't get rid of my wht 90 SE. If you car is paid off, keep it. No point in going and buying a car you have to make payments on.

Keep it! Yo put too much work, too may good memories, wait till you get a all set up financially and then get a new car BUT NEVER EVER think of getting rid of it. There is nothing wrong with having 2 cars. New car new problems.

Hell yeah I'd sell it, $12K is alot for a depreciation ridden 97 with 100K. I'd be happy if I got $11K for my 97 SE with 71,000 fully loaded and stripped of mods. However, you like your car better then I like my car so thats another ball game. Just cross your fingers that your manual transmission doesnt take a dump on you, then you'll wind up with a $1000+ repair bill.

Heck, if it's running good, and you like it - keep it. If you really want to get the 350Z, then sell it.. The rotten dealer will never give you $12K for it...

By the way, it looks sweet...

Have I seen yours at RIT?

I see on your website that you go to the NY Intl Speedway - that's right over near Buffalo? You can actually run your car there in a straight line?!! That would be sweet.. Autox is fun, but I'd like get the car going fast sometime!

Another RIT'er? theblue and I are both recent Alumni.

Check out www.ubrf.org -- its a western new york form, there are always people there going to NYIRP from there.

Yes, its a drag strip, so you get to go straight.

I think personally that you should keep your car. That is a pretty good offer if someone did offer that much to buy it though. The reason I think you should keep it is because it is still a nice car, it is in good shape, it is paid off or will be soon. Think of that money you wont have to pay on your loan each month. That is money to buy more mods with, money you can save or whatever you would want to do with it. Most of all though, all the money you put into is a lot more than the offer. I would consider that a big loss. Depreciation is always a factor, but it all boils down to how much YOU like your car and how much it still means to you. Ah.......the memories.
Later.
