Well, it was bound to happen sometime...

I destroyed my Sarona front bumper. I hit a dip in the road making a right turn, and all of a sudden I heard a huge crack. When I looked, it was a mess. The bumper is cracked on the lower part right in the middle, right below the driver's side corner light, and there's a 6" section missing from right below where the driver's side foglight would be. I hit the hole so hard that my fender was bent out from the impact. It actually doesn't look that bad, but the damage is extensive.

It's a good thing I have a custom bumper on the way and my car is going into the shop for the next month for stereo work anyways. I'd hate to drive around a lot with my bumper all messed up.

I'm amazed the kit lasted this long as low as it is. But I'm kind of surprised that there was so much damage spread out over the bumper when only 1 part hit the ground. The rest of it is stress fractures it looks like.

damn, sorry to hear man...and you have such a beautiful car, even though i'm sure you had problems with the crappy fitting issues of the sarona kit...but i'm sure everything will turn out well with all the work you have planned

I've cracked the Stillen lip spoiler too. I would have cracked it this time too since I hit hard enough to bend my fender.

Hmmm really? I think with the stillen one though you probably would have just cracked the paint, and your stock bumper+lip would absorb the impact enough not to bend your fender. I dunno i've always just been partial to polyurethane cause it's so damn flexible and it's easier to repaint than to replace. Well I hope all your repairs go well good luck

I plowed a rabbit (real one...fur and the whole 9, not like the old VW's) and it DESTROYED my Stillen lip to high hell.
